Set in beautiful countryside and located just three miles from Dunblane, Cromlix House occupies 34 acres of grounds.

The original Victorian mansion was built on the site in 1874 as a family residence for the son of The Earl of Kinnoul. The House was converted in 1981, operating as a country house hotel until financial problems forced its closure in February 2012.

This sad situation could easily have seen the end of this historic building. However when Scottish tennis legend and “ local lad “ Sir Andy Murray announced that he had acquired Cromlix in 2013, it heralded a fantastic future for the hotel and its staff.

Following an extensive refurbishment programme The Cromlix re-opened in 2014 as a luxury 15 bedroom five star destination. Its recent win as the 2019 luxury country house hotel of the year at the Scottish Hotel Awards has firmly cemented its position as one of the top hotels in the region.

Cromlix House boasts a Chez Roux restaurant , reception hall, two drawing rooms, conservatory, dining room and meeting rooms

The hotel is managed on behalf of Sir Andy by ICMI who already look after eight other renowned properties around Scotland, including Inverlochy Castle ( near Fort William ) and Greywalls Hotel in Gullane which overlooks the Open Championship links at Muirfield.

For a group visiting Scotland on one of our bespoke golf tours, Cromlix House is only a short drive from both Glasgow and Edinburgh airports, with a large selection of quality courses nearby including Gleneagles and Blairgowrie.

Should any of your group be interested in Scottish history and architecture the nearby city of Stirling has a number of important attractions including Stirling Castle  where several Scottish kings and queens were crowned ; most notably Mary, Queen of Scots in 1542, The Wallace Monument which commemorates the 13th century Scottish hero William Wallace ( portrayed by Mel Gibson in the film Braveheart ) and The Bannockburn Battle site where in 1314 King Robert the Bruce routed the English forces to secure freedom for the Scots from English domination.
