July 11 - July 13
The Medal Course at Monifieth Golf Links is the most westerly of three renowned golf courses in the Angus area; the others being Panmure and of course the mighty Carnoustie.
Employed as a Final Qualifying venue for The Open Championship, the great 5-time champion Tom Watson was famously introduced to Scottish links golf at Monifieth the week before he secured his first victory at Carnoustie in 1975.
With the railway line bordering the early holes, some punishing rough and bunkering and the challenge of large, firm greens it is no surprise Monifieth remains a firm favourite with any visiting golfers.
Situated close to the city of Dundee and a short drive over the River Tay into Fife there are plenty of courses within easy reach to enjoy including
